Gospel and Law has two main parts: a critique of Dispensationalism takes up 3/4 of the book (and he lumps covenant theology into this critique - they didn't like that), and the middle 1/4 of the book is a single chapter that sets forth Fuller's proposed answer to the hermeneutical problem/5(6).

God gave the Law so that people would have a guide to live by and a standard by which they might recognize God’s purity and their sinfulness.

At that time I mentioned that I was excited to get a copy to review. Im glad that I did. This small book is an outstanding treatise on the different roles that both the Law and the Gospel play in our lives/5.

As a lay person I sometimes would confuse law and gospel even when I felt like I had a firm understanding of Gospel & Law book.
